How Gangly content is researched, written, fact-checked, and maintained. We publish this so you know what you're reading — and how we decide what goes live.
How we research
Every article, review, and guide starts with one of three sources:
- First-party data from Gangly's own customer base — anonymized usage patterns, performance metrics, and rep interviews.
- Third-party industry reports from Gartner, Forrester, HubSpot, Salesforce, and peer-reviewed sales research.
- Direct product testing — we sign up for tools, run them through real workflows, and document what happens.
We never publish from press releases alone. Every claim about a competitor's product is verified through hands-on testing or verified customer interviews.
How we write
All content is written by the Gangly team — primarily Siddharth Gangal (Founder) and subject-matter experts on the team. We do not use ghostwriters or outsource content production.
Our tone is fast, sharp, and rep-facing. We avoid:
- Unsubstantiated claims without sources
- Marketing fluff or buzzwords
- Comparisons that misrepresent competitors
- Generic advice that doesn't apply to B2B sales
Fact-checking process
Before any article goes live:
- All statistics are verified against original sources.
- Product claims are checked against the vendor's own documentation or hands-on testing.
- Pricing data is verified within 7 days of publication.
- Technical claims are reviewed by an engineer on the team.
If we cannot verify a claim, we either remove it or label it as opinion.
Correction policy
We correct errors as soon as we find them — whether we catch them internally or a reader reports them. Corrections are:
- Made within 48 hours of discovery
- Documented at the bottom of the corrected article
- Reported to our email list if the error was significant

Content update schedule
- Pricing pages: Updated within 48 hours of any vendor pricing change.
- Comparison pages: Reviewed quarterly for accuracy.
- Review pages: Updated when the reviewed product releases a major version or changes pricing.
- Blog posts: Reviewed annually and updated if data or best practices have changed.
Every article shows its last-updated date in the page metadata.
Funding and disclosure
Gangly is a product of Fairview Software. We are bootstrapped — no VC funding, no board, no external pressure to grow at a specific rate.
When we review a product, we disclose our relationship to it. If Gangly is compared to a competitor, we state where Gangly wins and where it doesn't. We do not accept payment for reviews, placement in "best of" lists, or favorable coverage.
